Officers at Tampa International Airport located Milania Giudice, 20, within about 12 minutes on Wednesday after she ran from her family ahead of a confrontation, according to law enforcement sources, prompting a police response at the terminal. She was traveling with her mother, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, 54, her sister Gia Giudice, 25, and a counselor when the dispute broke out, and multiple females at the scene told authorities they needed police as soon as possible.
The confrontation, which occurred at Tampa International Airport on Wednesday, was first reported by Cleveland.com, citing law enforcement sources. Milania had just been released from the hospital before the airport encounter and was wearing a tan hat and yellow sweatsuit while carrying a cat in a pink animal carrier, per the outlet's reporting. She briefly posted, then deleted, a video showing police surrounding the group.
What Was Said in the Terminal
According to the same law enforcement sources cited by Cleveland.com, Teresa Giudice was heard saying, “This is what we do now?” before telling her daughter, “I love you.” Gia Giudice suggested the family let Milania do what she wants to do, to which Milania replied, “Shut the [expletive] up.”
Despite the show of force, the police presence resulted in no arrest, no medical transport, and no police report, Cleveland.com reported. The family ultimately boarded their flight following the incident.
A Pending Assault Case Back in New Jersey
Milania Giudice's New Jersey assault case follows a domestic dispute in May at a home in Montville. According to a Montville Township Police Department statement reported by E! News, officers responded to the May incident after her sister Gabriella called 911 reporting that Milania was acting erratically, resulting in Milania being charged with simple assault.
A judge determined that Milania knowingly caused bodily injury to another person, striking the alleged victim, identified only as L.R., in the head with her fist, according to the dossier's account of the case. She pleaded not guilty to disorderly simple assault, and Cleveland.com reported that she enrolled in anger management classes in August.
Milania has spoken publicly about the arrest, saying she was not in a good place in her life at the time. “It is what it is, s–t happens in life. Just become a better person and talk about it,” she said.
What New Jersey Law Says
Under New Jersey statutes, simple assault is a disorderly persons offense, according to Daily Voice. Milania attends the University of Tampa.
Daily Voice's reporting also noted an earlier, unrelated brush with New Jersey law enforcement: in May 2024, Boonton police cleared Milania of fault in a two-car crash after determining another driver had run a stop sign and failed to yield the right-of-way.
