The National Weather Service expects light winds Thursday, generally from the southeast at around 7 mph, with mostly dry conditions across Denver. Friday should also reach about 93 degrees, though a few gusts could approach 17 mph, and the forecast carries a small chance of rain.
Sunny 90s Hold Through Saturday
Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low near 62, followed by another warm Friday night around 63 degrees. Saturday stays mostly sunny and warm, with a high near 92, although a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms appears after sunset.
The latest outlook is a wetter turn for the weekend than the earlier Hoodline forecast suggested. Saturday's storm chance remains limited, but moisture increases Sunday and Monday, making afternoon plans a little more weather-dependent.
Storm Chances Rise After Noon Sunday
Sunday will be mostly sunny early, with a high near 90 and a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Another round of storms is possible Sunday night before Labor Day brings partly sunny skies, a high near 89 and a 49% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Those storm chances linger into Tuesday and Wednesday, even as temperatures gradually ease from about 87 degrees Tuesday to 85 Wednesday. No watches, warnings, or advisories are currently posted for the Denver area, but anyone planning outdoor activities should keep an eye on the sky after lunchtime Sunday through the holiday.
