A 39-year-old man was left with serious, life-threatening injuries after being stabbed just after noon Sunday near 35th and Brown streets on Milwaukee's West Side. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, and police say they are looking for a known suspect in connection with the attack.
The stabbing details were reported by the Milwaukee Police Department, according to FOX6 News Milwaukee, which said the department sent the information to the outlet after the attack. The circumstances that led to the stabbing remain under investigation, and no details about a relationship between the victim and the suspect, or what triggered the confrontation, have been released.
A Corner With a Troubled Past
The location also borders Metcalfe Park, an area identified by the City of Milwaukee.
The 35th and Brown intersection is also the reported location of Sunday's stabbing.
Second Knife Attack in the Area This Summer
Sunday's stabbing follows a July fatal stabbing near 29th Street and Highland Avenue, an attack Hoodline reported occurred during the midafternoon hours and that also remains under investigation, with police likewise seeking an unidentified suspect in that case. The two incidents were reported separately.
