Detroit woke to clear skies and temperatures around 61 degrees earlier today, but a warmer and more unsettled stretch is already taking shape. Mostly sunny skies will help temperatures climb to about 83 degrees, with no rain expected during the day.
Warm Tuesday Gives Way To Storms Wednesday
This afternoon should stay mostly sunny as southeast winds increase to between 2 and 8 mph. The evening will turn mostly cloudy, with temperatures settling near 70 degrees overnight.
Showers could arrive tomorrow morning, followed by a better chance of showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening. The forecast calls for a high near 87 degrees, southwest gusts up to 25 mph, and about a 70% chance of rain, with new rainfall amounts generally expected to stay below a tenth of an inch.
Cooler, Drier Weather Returns
The storm chances should fade tomorrow night as a front moves through, bringing a low near 66 degrees. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a high around 79, while Friday looks sunnier and cooler near 77 degrees.
Saturday brings another warm-up, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 83 degrees. A slight chance of showers returns late Saturday night, followed by additional rain chances Sunday and Monday.
No weather watches, warnings, or advisories are in effect for the Detroit area in the current forecast.
