Nana's Dim Sum and Dumplings is planning to open a location at 180 W. 10th Avenue in Denver's Golden Triangle, bringing its steamed and pan-fried dumplings, buns, soups, and fried rice to a Denver neighborhood. The Golden Triangle spot is planned to include more than 5,400 square feet of space, an indoor dining room, a bar, and an outdoor patio.
The project is listed as coming soon on the restaurant's own website, according to whatnow.com, which cited city documents obtained by the Denver Business Journal describing the planned buildout. The Golden Triangle location had previously been announced as part of Nana's broader Denver expansion. As reported by Denver Westword, the company is also eyeing a 5,400-square-foot footprint inside the 9+CO development; the report listed the 9+CO, Golden Triangle, and Golden locations among spaces Nana's is considering.
From a LoHi Storefront to a Multi-State Chain
Nana's Dim Sum and Dumplings was founded by married restaurateurs Jack Lu and Kelly Ou, with the menu inspired by recipes passed down from Ou's grandmother, Nana. Westword reported that the flagship location debuted in October 2023 at 3316 Tejon Street in Denver's Lower Highland neighborhood, and that the concept was actually co-founded by an eight-person partnership group — including Lu, Vicky Lin, Linna Wang, and QianQian Lu — built on long-standing friendships and family recipes, with the group relying on informal handshake agreements to get the business off the ground.
The growth since that single LoHi storefront has been rapid. Travel Boulder reported that Nana's expanded from one Denver location in late 2023 to nine locations across three states, with outposts in Boulder, Aurora, Parker, Colorado Springs, and Scarsdale, New York. The same report noted that Nana's opened its first out-of-state location in Scarsdale in summer 2025, with future locations mentioned in Hartford, Connecticut, and Hoboken, New Jersey.
Community Giving Alongside the Expansion
Following the grand opening of its Harvest Junction location in Longmont, Nana's donated $14,609.62 in opening proceeds to the Longmont Humane Society, per the same Travel Boulder report.
