Staff reportedly learned about the shutdown with little advance notice, and the restaurant's last hurrah was its regular Monday night trivia session, which kicked off at 7:30 p.m. before the doors closed for the last time.
The sudden announcement was first reported by Eye On Annapolis, which noted that NEO Pizza built a loyal following over the years around its pizza, craft beer, happy hours and weekly trivia nights. Customers are being encouraged to stop by one more time to say goodbye to the staff before the location shuts its doors. NEO Pizza first opened its doors at what was then called Annapolis Towne Centre back in March 2015, according to the outlet's earlier reporting.
A Regional Chain That Shrank to One Location
The Annapolis restaurant built its identity around a self-serve tap wall, letting customers preauthorize a payment card and pour their own craft beers, wines, and cocktails by the ounce, a fast-casual model detailed by Baltimore Style. That same reporting traced how NEO Pizza expanded well beyond Annapolis over the years, opening outposts in Bel Air, Baltimore's Mount Vernon Marketplace, Towson, Owings Mills, and Columbia.

At the same time, the shopping center has been drawing bigger, full-service dining names. Hoodline previously reported that Ruth's Chris Steak House plans to relocate from its longtime Eastport spot into an expanded space at Annapolis Town Center this fall, closing its existing Severn Avenue building in the process. Common Plate Hospitality also opened Augie's Mussel House & Sports Bar at the complex in February 2026, bringing Belgian-style ales and steamed mussels to the property even as fast-casual concepts like NEO Pizza and RegionAle have shuttered.
Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Company is associated with Annapolis Town Center. NEO Pizza's closure marks the latest change to the Annapolis-area restaurant landscape, following a stretch of turnover that has also included the sale of 49 West to a local chocolatier, as Hoodline detailed in its report on Annapolis restaurant turnover in late August.
