A 21-year-old motorcyclist has been identified as Dylan Maxwell, a Newark resident killed when a sedan turned left directly into his path on Elkton Road late Friday, August 28. Police say Maxwell was pronounced dead at the scene near Thorn Lane, while the sedan's driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and admitted with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to The News Journal, Newark police were called to Elkton Road and Thorn Lane around 9 p.m. that Friday, where they found Maxwell dead and treated the sedan driver for minor injuries.
