The shooting occurred at a large bowling and entertainment center that AMF describes as having 40 lanes, along with an arcade, pro shop and sports bar and grill, according to the venue’s official listing. Those details help establish the setting, but they do not indicate whether the victim was inside the business, in its parking area or elsewhere nearby.

Another separate case involved rapper Takeoff, who was fatally shot outside 810 Billiards & Bowling in downtown Houston; ABC News reported that two other people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. That incident involved a different venue, location and set of known circumstances, so it does not establish a connection to Wednesday’s shooting: ABC News.

That figure does not measure shootings specifically, establish a Harris County trend or explain the circumstances of this individual case.
