A fifth-grade classroom at Addeliar D. Guy Elementary School in North Las Vegas traded their desks for arena seats this week, after their teacher's nomination landed them the Adam Kutner Champion Classroom Award. On Thursday, roughly 100 students, teachers, and staff from the school took over T-Mobile Arena for a Vegas Golden Knights game, courtesy of law firm Adam S. Kutner, Injury Attorneys.
The trip was made possible by the firm, according to KSNV, which reported that teacher Kelley Ward nominated her own fifth-grade class for the experience. More than 10 additional teachers joined Ward and her students for the outing, and the group included the school's principal, assistant principal, and support staff. A Clark County School District bus driver handled round-trip transportation and stuck around to attend the game alongside the rest of the group, per the same report.
A Night of Arena Perks
Once inside the 650,000-square-foot venue on the Las Vegas Strip, the Addeliar Guy group got the full fan treatment. Vegas Golden Knights mascot Chance and the Vegas Vivas! cheer team both visited the section, and the T-Mobile Arena jumbotron flashed a shoutout congratulating the class on their contest win. The arena, which seats about 17,500 for hockey games, has served as the Golden Knights' home rink since 2016, according to Hoodline.
Every student and teacher in attendance also walked away with a custom Golden Knights t-shirt featuring the class and school name, plus a $25 concession gift card donated by Levy Online, the report noted. Attorney Adam S. Kutner is described in the coverage as a longtime supporter of local education and a major sponsor of the Golden Knights.
How the Contest Works
The Champion Classroom honor is part of an annual initiative Kutner's firm runs in partnership with the Clark County School District. Teachers had until midnight on September 26, 2026, to submit nominations, according to a Facebook post from Adam Kutner Cares.
This year's pick continues a competitive tradition. Darnell Elementary's entire 5th grade class won in 2025 out of more than 500 nominations, following Cozine Elementary in 2024 and Walter V. Long Elementary in 2023, according to Adam Kutner Cares. Winning classes and honorees have also had the chance to ride the firm's sponsored Zamboni on the ice during intermissions at T-Mobile Arena, the same source notes.
The firm is a Day 1 partner of the Golden Knights. A Vegas Happenings report described a 2024 Cozine Elementary outing. The firm also runs an ASK VIP Card program and fan giveaways that have distributed thousands of Golden Knights tickets and signed merchandise to Las Vegas Valley residents over nine NHL seasons, per the National Law Review.
Beyond the Arena
Adam Kutner Cares extends beyond classroom prizes. The program is also associated with Southern Nevada nonprofits including Three Square Food Bank, Nevada Child Seekers, and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Addeliar D. Guy Elementary's fifth graders attended the game. Districtwide, about 70% of Clark County School District students qualify for federal free or reduced-price lunch programs, DonorsChoose reports, underscoring the economic backdrop against which programs like this one operate.
