A man is dead after a shooting inside a North Olmsted home Wednesday afternoon, and a person of interest is being held at the North Olmsted Jail as investigators piece together what led to the violence. A male at the residence made a 911 call around 2:41 p.m. from the 5100 block of Lucydale Avenue reporting that a male had been shot following an altercation inside the residence.
The North Olmsted Police Department and North Olmsted Fire Department responded to the scene, where the wounded man was transported to a hospital and later pronounced deceased. WKYC reported that the victim was wounded during the altercation inside the home before dying at the hospital. A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene and remains held pending further investigation.
