According to WOAI, the two men argued after one accused the other of stealing property, and the confrontation escalated when the resident stabbed the other man multiple times in the side. The injured man was taken to the hospital in stable condition, while the resident was treated at the scene by paramedics for a cut to his leg.
Police said the man who was stabbed had tried to break into the North Side home, according to investigators cited in the report. Once the confrontation ended, the resident went back inside his home rather than continuing the altercation, the outlet reported.
