The NYPD is asking New Yorkers to help identify four people wanted in connection with a burglary pattern that stretches across six precincts. The department's Crime Stoppers unit released images Friday of the individuals, saying they are wanted for a series of break-ins within the confines of the 49th, 61st, 69th, 107th, 109th, and 112th Precincts.

A Reward, With Strings Attached
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $3,500 for information leading to an arrest and indictment. The New York City Police Foundation, which administers the program, says that reward money comes from private contributions rather than the police department's tax-funded budget.
The program has a long track record, according to the same Foundation account. Tips are collected by phone, web, and mobile app.
What the Charges Could Look Like
New York Penal Law § 140.20 covers third-degree burglary, which involves knowingly entering or remaining unlawfully in a building with intent to commit a crime. That statute is classified as a Class D non-violent felony, punishable by up to seven years in state prison, according to Justia. Notably, the law does not require forced entry or a completed theft — unlawful presence with criminal intent is enough to meet the threshold.
Part of a Busier-Than-Usual September for Burglary Patterns
This isn't the only multi-precinct burglary case NYPD Crime Stoppers has flagged this month. The Numbers Behind the Pattern
The new appeal comes even as burglary numbers citywide are trending downward. NYPD CompStat data through September 13 shows burglary complaints down 14.4% year-to-date, with 7,717 incidents reported compared to 9,010 over the same period in 2025, according to figures published by the NYPD. Earlier this year, a report discussed a decline in citywide burglaries during the first three months of 2026.
Even with those declines, multi-precinct patterns like this one remain a focus for detectives, since a single crew moving across boroughs can rack up a disproportionate number of incidents relative to the citywide trend. For now, the NYPD has not released additional details on the suspects' identities, and anyone who recognizes them is urged to come forward through Crime Stoppers' anonymous tip lines.
