NYPD Crime Stoppers is asking for information about three unidentified people police say were involved in a physical confrontation with a man in Queens. According to the department’s notice, the group approached the victim and disputed with him before the encounter became physical. The three people then fled on foot.
The notice does not identify the people sought, disclose the victim’s injuries, or provide additional details about the circumstances beyond the dispute and subsequent confrontation. It is an information request; it does not announce an arrest or a criminal conviction.
Where the investigation is based
The case falls within the NYPD’s 115th Precinct, whose stationhouse is at 92-15 Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights. The precinct patrols East Elmhurst and North Corona as well, according to the NYPD. That geographic coverage means the precinct designation alone does not establish which neighborhood the reported confrontation occurred in.

Citywide, NYPD CompStat recorded 20,758 felony-assault complaints through Sept. 6, 2026, compared with 20,604 during the same period in 2025, a 0.7% increase. The department says those figures are preliminary and subject to further analysis and revision. The citywide totals provide broad background, but they do not measure the circumstances of this case or show that assaults are increasing in the 115th Precinct.
A separate Jackson Heights case illustrates why individual comparisons should be treated cautiously. QNS reported that a 67-year-old man was attacked during a verbal dispute on Aug. 21 at 33-53 82nd St., with one suspect sought after fleeing on foot. That incident involved a different number of suspects, location and reported circumstances, and does not establish a pattern connected to the current investigation.

People affected by an assault can also contact the NYPD Crime Victim Assistance Program. According to the NYPD, Safe Horizon victim advocates are placed in each precinct, and a police report is not required to access their services. The New York State Office of Victim Services also directs people seeking compensation to begin a claim online through OVS Compass.
