A shooting outside a Starbucks in Allen left one person dead and another hospitalized Friday evening, in an incident police say may be connected to domestic violence. Two people sustained gunshot wounds at the coffee shop located at 969 State Highway 121, according to the Allen Police Department.
Both victims were rushed to a hospital, where one later died from their injuries, the Allen Police Department said. The other person remained hospitalized following the shooting, as reported by FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth. CBS News similarly reported that the shooting at the Allen shopping center killed one person and wounded another.
Police Believe Domestic Violence May Be a Factor
Officials believe the shooting may be related to domestic violence, though the department's investigation was still ongoing as of Friday night, per the same account. Allen police had not identified either of the two people involved in the shooting.
