Vampire pirates are sailing back into Orlando's indoor lagoon this fall, as Pirates Dinner Adventure revives its Halloween-themed Vampirates production for select performances running from September 22 through October 31, 2026. The updated show features new makeup and airbrush effects, updated character looks, a refreshed soundtrack and a new aerial solo, all built around a storyline of enchanted treasure and a cursed crew.
The show unfolds inside the venue near International Drive, with a roughly 300,000-gallon indoor lagoon, according to WFTV Channel 9. That lagoon surrounds an 18th-century-style Spanish galleon, and the theater itself seats 700 guests for each performance. Pirates Dinner Adventure sits within the Pirate's Town Dinner Theater Complex, which also houses adult-oriented sister shows like Teatro Martini and Jewel Orlando, according to I-Drive Orlando.
In the seasonal storyline, Captain Sebastian the Black and his crew are transformed into vampirates and pursue Princess Anita. The roughly 90-minute show combines sword fights, stunts, audience participation, vampire pirates and Halloween effects, and includes a three-course meal, with guests able to pay to upgrade their main course or seating. The venue also offers vegetarian and gluten-free entrées.
A Preview Night and 30th-Anniversary Milestone
Pirates Dinner Adventure has scheduled a special public and media preview for September 14, 2026, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 8 p.m., the station's report notes. Preview pre-show entertainment includes stilt walkers, photo opportunities, storytelling, seasonal drinks and roaming musicians performing spooky sea shanties. Regular Vampirates performances begin September 22 and continue on select dates through Halloween.
Jayson Wadzinski said the goal was to let Halloween take over every part of the experience, according to the same WFTV report. The revival arrives as Pirates Dinner Adventure celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, following a broader overhaul of its primary production. The Orlando theater debuted an overhauled main show at the end of May 2024 titled In Search of Neptune's Treasure, written and directed by Michael La Fleur, according to Orlando Weekly.
Tickets, Perks and a Fresh Round of Merchandise
Regular full-price admission for seasonal shows at the Carrier Drive theater is $72.95 for guests ages 10 and up and $46.95 for children ages 3 to 10, according to Attractions Magazine. Per WFTV's report, a promotional offer tied to the Vampirates revival provides 20% off tickets, waived parking and free pirate flags when guests use promo code VAMP. Pirates Dinner Adventure has also added show-specific merchandise, a Vampirate Captain's Quarters photo opportunity in the lobby, and Halloween-themed craft cocktails for the season.
A Family Show Anchoring a Shifting I-Drive Nightlife Scene
Orlando Dinner Entertainment, which operates Pirates Dinner Adventure, also runs Teatro Martini. First launched in Orlando in the late 1990s, the Pirates Dinner Adventure concept expanded to Buena Park, California, in 2006, where a sister location runs similar seasonal shows, per TV Tropes.
The revival lands amid a record year for regional tourism: Central Florida's tourism sector generated $98.6 billion in total economic impact in 2025 based on 76.7 million visitors, according to a Tourism Economics study commissioned by Visit Orlando and regional partners. That kind of visitor volume underscores why independent, off-theme-park dinner theaters along International Drive keep refreshing their seasonal content to capture repeat local and tourist business.
Not every dinner-theater venue nearby has weathered the competition the same way. The former home of Sleuths Mystery Dinner Shows at 8267 International Drive is another local dinner-theater site. Pirates Dinner Adventure's cast has also branched into community events beyond Carrier Drive, with performers featured in Kissimmee's second annual Magik and Mythk Festival at Osceola Heritage Park in August 2026.
