A Georgia-born convenience store chain that already operates in Georgia and South Carolina is expanding into Florida, and Nassau County is getting the honor. Parker's Kitchen plans to open its first Florida convenience store in late October at 75970 William Burgess Blvd. in Yulee, near Interstate 95 and Highway 200, with the location built to serve drivers and residents throughout the Jacksonville market. The chain is known for food prepared fresh on-site.
The Yulee opening is far from a one-off. According to WJCL, Parker's Kitchen expects six additional Florida sites to be under construction during the first quarter of 2027, with a goal of opening 12 Florida locations, including a truck stop, by the end of that year. The Savannah-based company has already been identified for at least 11 locations across Northeast Florida — five in Duval County, three in Clay County, two in St. Johns County and one in Nassau County — according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.
What's Coming to the Yulee Store
The Nassau County Development Committee signed off on the Yulee project on February 4. Once it opens, the store will offer indoor dining, electronic ordering kiosks, breakfast items, hot meals and grab-and-go food, alongside the usual fuel and convenience-store staples.
Parker's Kitchen was founded in Midway, Georgia, in 1976 and is headquartered in Savannah, the Daily Record notes. The company employs nearly 2,000 people and processes more than 1.2 million transactions weekly across its current footprint. Store counts vary slightly by outlet — WJCL reports the company currently operates 111 stores in Georgia and South Carolina, while C-Store Decisions reports the Florida expansion will bring its regional total to 111.
A Bigger Southeast Push
Florida isn't the only new frontier for the chain this year. Per WJCL, Parker's Kitchen recently entered two additional markets with stores in North Myrtle Beach and Lexington, South Carolina. The North Myrtle Beach store opened in July at 4530 Highway 17 South, marking the company's first location in that city, and the report notes the chain already has two stores in nearby Little River with more planned for the Grand Strand area.
The Lexington store opened in early September at 1367 N. Lake Drive, marking the company's entry into the Columbia metropolitan area, with additional Columbia-area locations planned as well, the station's report states. Both new South Carolina stores serve the company's food, prepared fresh on-site daily, along with indoor dining and electronic ordering kiosks, according to C-Store Decisions.
Company Ties the Growth to Its 50th Year
Entering Florida represents an important step in Parker's Kitchen's long-term growth strategy, according to CSP Daily News. C-Store Decisions reports the chain plans to open a record number of stores in 2027 as it expands across the broader Southeast.
The push into new markets comes as Parker's Kitchen marks 50 years since its founding. The company has donated more than $30 million to charitable causes supporting education, hunger relief, health care and veterans, per the same account from WJCL. For Yulee residents watching the William Burgess Boulevard site take shape, the October opening will mark the moment Parker's Kitchen officially becomes a Florida chain rather than just a Georgia neighbor across the state line.
