A pedestrian was struck and killed early Wednesday morning at the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and Hall Road in Clinton Township, forcing police to shut down the busy crossing at around 6 a.m. As of Wednesday, there was no word on when the roadway would reopen to traffic.
Police confirmed the death but had not released additional details about the pedestrian's identity or the circumstances of the crash, according to WDIV ClickOnDetroit. The intersection is where Gratiot Avenue, designated state route M-3, meets Hall Road, or M-59.
