Founder Melissa Ponce De Leon's Peruvian baking story stretches back two decades before this latest expansion. She began crafting empanadas in San Jose, California, in 2006, later relocating to Orlando in 2016 and initially selling homemade empanadas to friends and family, according to the Peruanísima Bakery website. That informal operation eventually became a business.
The brand's current brick-and-mortar shop is at 931 N. FL-434, Suite 1145, in Altamonte Springs.
