Wednesday Brings More Heat And Humidity
Wednesday looks mostly sunny again, but temperatures will climb to around 88 degrees as winds turn southwest at 5 to 15 mph. The air will feel more humid than it does Tuesday, with the approaching cold front beginning to change the setup.
For now, Wednesday remains a mainly dry day in Philadelphia. The forecast keeps most showers and thunderstorms north and west during the daytime, though conditions will become more unsettled overnight as the front draws closer.
Thursday Storm Chances Arrive After 2 P.M.
Thursday is the week’s weather pivot, with mostly sunny skies giving way to a 50% chance of rain showers after 2 p.m. The high should still reach about 88 degrees, and any rainfall could total roughly a tenth to a quarter-inch.
According to NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information, the Northeast's average temperature for April was 49.9°F, or 3.7°F warmer than normal.
Showers and thunderstorms become more likely Thursday night, when the rain chance rises to 60% and temperatures fall to around 68. Friday then brings a cooler, mostly sunny reset with a high near 80, while the weekend stays warm in the low 80s with a few additional shower chances.
