A National Weather Service Wind Advisory takes effect at 6 p.m. Friday and continues through 6 a.m. Sunday, with inland northerly gusts of 30 to 45 mph expected across Philadelphia and the surrounding region. Strong gusts could cause isolated tree damage and power outages.
A chance of showers is forecast, mainly after 2 p.m. Friday, with a low near 57. The advisory calls for gusts up to 45 mph. Weekend rain potential is increasing, a sharper turn from Wednesday's Philly forecast.
Saturday And Sunday Bring Rain, Wind And Flood Concerns
Rain chances increase over the weekend. Rainfall across the Philadelphia metro could total 1 to 2 inches over 48 hours or longer.
Sunday could bring rain, with a high near 65. A Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect through 5 a.m. Sunday, with minor tidal flooding expected and moderate flooding possible near tidal waterways, including sections along the Delaware River.
Drivers should avoid leaving vehicles in flood-prone areas and never drive through water covering a road. Residents should also secure patio furniture, trash bins and other outdoor items before the strongest winds arrive Friday evening.

Monday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 85. Tuesday is forecast to bring a mix of sun and clouds, with a high near 76. Wednesday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 78.
