Police investigate shooting reported on Round Road
Baltimore police are investigating a shooting reported after a 44-year-old man sought treatment at a South Baltimore hospital on Saturday. Officers found him with apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, and investigators later determined that the shooting occurred in the 3200 block of Round Road, FOX45 News reported. Earlier hospital-arrival cases offer limited context
Other Baltimore reports illustrate how a victim’s arrival at a hospital can initially leave investigators with limited information about where a shooting occurred. An 18-year-old man went to a Baltimore hospital after being shot in the foot in June, according to The Baltimore Sun. On Sept. 1, a 33-year-old man treated at a hospital for an apparent lower-body gunshot wound could not tell investigators where he had been shot, Baltimore Witness reported.
How the incident fits the citywide trend
Baltimore’s official figures show a decline in non-fatal shootings citywide: The Baltimore Police Department recorded 311 in 2025, down 24% from 412 in 2024, according to the department’s 2025 year-end report. The department also reported 150 non-fatal shootings through July 1, 2026, compared with 165 during the same period in 2025, a 2.5% decline, according to its 2026 mid-year report. Those figures are citywide and do not by themselves establish a trend specific to the police district that includes Round Road.
