South Kitsap Fire and Rescue crews responded around 2:15 p.m. Thursday to a two-alarm mobile-home fire on Fairview Boulevard south of Port Orchard, where reports indicated people might be trapped inside. Three people were critically injured, according to KOMO News.
The home was already engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived, according to KOMO News, and the structure ultimately suffered major smoke and fire damage. Before firefighters could get inside, a bystander managed to pull one victim from the burning home on Fairview Boulevard.
Firefighters Pull Two More From the Flames
South Kitsap Fire and Rescue crews rescued two additional victims from inside the mobile home after arriving on scene, per the same account. All three victims were left in critical condition following the rescue efforts.
Medical response split the victims between two hospitals. One person was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, while the other two were transported by ambulance to a trauma center in Tacoma, as noted by KOMO News.
