Prime Pizza is planning to open a new location in Cypress at 9543 Valley View St., Building 1, joining a growing lineup of Southern California shops for the New York-style pizza chain. The spot is planned for the Cypress East Shopping Area, according to an Orange County Environmental Health plan review.
The planned Cypress location was reported by whatnow.com, which covers restaurant openings across Orange County. Prime Pizza describes its food simply on its own website: “NY STYLE PIZZA, MADE FOR CA,” according to primepizza.com. The chain serves both round and square pizzas, and its menu extends well beyond pies.
What's on the Menu
Sides play a big role at Prime Pizza, with the company urging customers to “try our incredible sides including garlic knots, salads, meatballs and wings,” per the same website. At select locations, the menu expands further to include vodka and Bolognese pastas, along with chicken or meatball Parmesan subs, the site notes.
For those with dietary restrictions or preferences, Prime Pizza also offers gluten-free square pizza options, specialty toppings, and vegan cheese, according to the company's site. Catering is available too, with the chain simply stating on its website, “WE CATER!” for events and group gatherings.
A Limited-Time Menu Item
Right now, shops are pushing a seasonal item: a mole pizza topped with mozzarella, potato, chorizo, cilantro, and queso fresco. The company's website says it's available “in all shops through September 28,” meaning the offer is set to wrap up in the coming days.
Part of a Broader Expansion
The planned Cypress shop isn't an isolated move. Prime Pizza's website states the company is also headed to Thousand Oaks, Rancho Cucamonga, Northridge, Huntington Beach, and Riverside, signaling a broader push into Southern California beyond its current footprint of shops already listed on its site.
No opening date has been announced for the Cypress location, and further details on the property's status were not available at this time.
