Authorities were called to the 1100 block of North Sherman Avenue around 1:45 a.m. that day, according to WKOW. Thomas died after that incident, and the medical examiner's office confirmed his identity in the days that followed. A forensic autopsy was completed on September 21, but officials have not yet released his cause or manner of death.
