A man is facing felony charges after Pennsylvania State Police say he sexually assaulted a woman in her Red Lion home. Before the alleged rape, she fell and hit her head after refusing his advances; she also had bruises on her face and arms. Teodoro Rincon-Isidoro was arrested Sunday, Sept. 27, in connection with the incident, which allegedly unfolded inside a house in the 300 block of First Avenue where he had been staying in the basement.
Felony charges were filed against the man, described by York Daily Record as 39 years old, in connection with the rape of a woman in Red Lion. PennLive, however, reported his age as 40, and the two outlets also differ on the exact date of the alleged attack — York Daily Record placed it at about 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 21, while PennLive reported the woman got up around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 22 to let the couple's dogs outside.
Woman Says She Was Attacked After Turning Down Advances
According to court documents, the woman told investigators that Rincon-Isidoro asked to have sexual intercourse after she came back inside. She denied his sexual advances, and after doing so, she was unsure whether he struck her or pushed her, causing her to fall and hit her head, according to court documents cited by the report.
Court records state that Rincon-Isidoro allegedly picked her up and slammed her against the floor before sexually assaulting her. Police said the woman had bruising on her face and on her arms following the encounter. Pennsylvania State Police investigated the incident, according to court documents.
Charges, Bail and What Comes Next
The exact list of charges also varies between the two accounts. York Daily Record's report says Rincon-Isidoro faces felony charges of rape, sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, along with misdemeanor charges of indecent assault and simple assault. PennLive's report instead describes two felony counts of rape and sexual assault along with a misdemeanor charge of indecent assault and simple assault.
Bail for Rincon-Isidoro was set at $75,000, and he was placed in York County Prison, the outlet's report notes. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Oct. 9.
Under Pennsylvania law, a person commits a first-degree felony when sexual intercourse occurs by forcible compulsion, threat of forcible compulsion, while the complainant is unconscious or unaware, through certain substances, or when the complainant has a mental disability preventing consent, according to the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
