A 58-year-old man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after an early-Friday assault on Manila Street near Magnolia Street, according to 13WHAM. Police told the station the man was struck with a pistol and chased down the street.
The suspect entered a nearby home, but officers who surrounded the house did not find him. No arrest had been reported, and police said the investigation was continuing. The suspect’s identity and whereabouts, and what led to the confrontation, have not been made public. Police asked anyone with information to call 911, the station reported.
