A fire broke out on the roof of the We Energies Valley Power Plant in Milwaukee early Tuesday morning, sending five employees out of the building on their own and prompting a response from city firefighters. No one was hurt, and the flames never made it inside the plant.
The Milwaukee Fire Department was called to the facility near 6th and Canal streets around 1:30 a.m., according to WISN 12 News. The five workers who were inside at the time got themselves out safely, and no injuries were reported.
