Sunday looks similarly pleasant, topping out near 80 degrees under sunny skies. Winds will be a little more noticeable at 6 to 9 mph, but the National Weather Service Sacramento office lists no watches, warnings or advisories for the area.
Labor Day Starts The Warmup
The heat begins building Monday, when sunny skies will send Sacramento to around 87 degrees for Labor Day. Tuesday climbs a bit higher, with a sunny high near 89 and only a 4% chance of precipitation.
That is a modest shift from Friday's Hoodline forecast, which had Labor Day closer to 85 degrees. The latest outlook now points to a warmer start to the holiday week, while nights remain relatively mild in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Small Rain Chance Appears Midweek
A slight chance of light rain arrives Tuesday night after 5 a.m. Wednesday, with a 15% precipitation chance continuing into Wednesday. Even so, Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 91, so Sacramento is not looking at an all-day washout.
Thursday could be the warmest day of the stretch, reaching near 93 degrees under mostly sunny skies, before Friday cools back to about 86. The National Weather Service says confidence remains limited around the midweek moisture, with the better chance of rain currently expected in the mountains rather than Sacramento proper.
Best Outdoor Window Is This Weekend
For walks, errands and outdoor plans, Saturday and Sunday offer the easiest conditions, with sunny afternoons and cool mornings. The hotter stretch arrives Monday through Thursday, so shade, water and earlier start times will become more useful as the week goes on.
