Sacramento Scream Park threw open its gates at 7 p.m. last Friday with four brand-new haunted houses, kicking off a run that stretches through November 7 at its longtime home at 4909 Auburn Boulevard. The lineup includes Gator Gulch, Silverthorn Amusement Park, Greyhaven Hospital, and Homecoming Horror, according to FOX40, which covered the opening under the headline ‘All-New Nightmares’.
The Sacramento haunt has built a reputation as a large-scale, professional operation, with extensive sets, live actors and special effects layered into its rotating cast of horror concepts each season, according to Halloween & Christmas Maps. Beyond the four mazes, this year's event includes food trucks, merchandise, photo opportunities, live entertainment and other special events, per FOX40's report. A Sacramento365 listing recommends the attraction for guests ages 12 and older and describes it as rain-or-shine and mostly covered, directing ticket buyers to ScreamParkCalifornia.com.
A Glowstick Twist Before the Run Wraps
Scream Park is closing out its 2026 season with a themed finale: Glowstick Fright Nights on November 6 and 7, which lets guests carry one glowstick per group into the mazes, according to the same FOX40 account. It's a small variation to the standard haunted-house crawl, but it gives the park's final weekend its own identity separate from the rest of the run. Tickets for the season run from $29.99 to $77.99 before service fees, per FOX40's reporting.
What Past Seasons Looked Like
Last year's event followed a similar four-haunted-house format, running select nights from September 20 through November 2 with tickets ranging from $25 to $50, according to Festivals.com. That 2025 run also featured a Frightmare Midway loaded with roaming monsters, food-truck fare, photo ops and an $8 mini escape game, the listing said. The four-house format has carried over into 2026, with FOX40 identifying this season's specific maze lineup.
