Monday, With A Breezy Edge
Monday could see increasing onshore flow and breezy winds, with limited precipitation and isolated thunderstorm chances possible Monday afternoon and evening, especially south of U.S. 50. The broader Sacramento Valley and Delta could turn breezier, with the National Weather Service Sacramento forecasting Delta gusts of up to 30 mph.
Heat Builds Through Thursday
Tuesday will reach about 85 degrees, followed by further warming Wednesday and Thursday, with Thursday expected to be the warmest day of the week. Moderate HeatRisk is expected in parts of the Delta and the southern Sacramento and northern San Joaquin valleys, so outdoor plans may call for extra water, shade and a little less midday ambition.
Cooler Temperatures Return For The Weekend
Friday and Saturday are forecast to see Valley highs in the 80s, with temperatures remaining in the 80s into Sunday, while the broader region could see stronger onshore winds and a few unsettled-weather chances as the weekend approaches, according to the weather service.
