The National Weather Service says peak heat indices across much of South-Central Texas will generally fall between 103 and 108 degrees, with a few spots potentially higher. No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the San Antonio forecast area.
A Muggy Night, Then Slightly Lower Temperatures
Thursday night turns partly cloudy, with a low near 78 and lingering heat-index values as high as 104. Southeast winds of 5 to 15 mph could gust to 25 mph, so the evening may stay uncomfortable even after sunset.
Small Rain Chances Return Friday
Friday brings a little relief, but not exactly sweater weather: the high is forecast near 98, with a 20% chance of showers or thunderstorms after 1 p.m. The odds rise modestly across parts of the broader region, especially near and east of the I-35 corridor, where an isolated downpour could briefly produce an inch or more of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday through Labor Day stay mostly sunny and hot, with highs near 97 and overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 70s. A slight chance of afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms returns Sunday and Monday, while Tuesday and Wednesday remain warm with highs in the mid-90s.
