A shirtless man with a large chest tattoo allegedly grabbed a fast-food employee by the shirt, dragged him across the counter and shoved him into a cart after being told he could not stay inside without a shirt. Santa Ana police are now asking the public for help identifying him, describing a confrontation that started over a simple request for water and ended with an injured worker and a kicked sign that nearly struck customers.
According to the newsantaana.com account of the incident, the man walked into the restaurant with a small dog and asked for water. An employee told him he could not remain inside the business without a shirt on, but offered to bring water out to the dog if the man waited outside. The man refused and began arguing with the worker instead.
Confrontation Escalates Behind the Counter
The dispute quickly turned physical, per the same account. The suspect grabbed the employee by his shirt, pulled him across the counter and pushed him into a cart, causing injuries to the worker. He then walked behind the counter himself and kicked a sign across the restaurant, nearly striking other customers who were nearby.
The Santa Ana Police Department shared the appeal for help in a Facebook post titled Can you help identify this man?, tagged with #SantaAnaPD and #WantedWednesday. Investigators describe the suspect as a white male standing about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing roughly 220 pounds, with a large tattoo on his chest. At the time of the confrontation, he was wearing no shirt, along with shorts and sunglasses.
