An unidentified individual opened fire multiple times at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and East 166th Street in the South Bronx last Sunday evening, then fled on a two-wheeled vehicle. No one was hit.
According to NYPD Crime Stoppers
, the unidentified shooter displayed and discharged a firearm at around 6:45 p.m. last Sunday within the confines of the 42nd Precinct before fleeing westbound on East 165th Street. Investigators have not released a physical description of the suspect, and no arrests have been announced.

No Injuries Reported, But Charges Could Still Follow
Despite the multiple shots fired, the incident resulted in no reported injuries, per NYPD Crime Stoppers. That does not mean the shooter would face no consequences if caught. Under New York Penal Law § 120.25, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree is classified as a Class D felony carrying up to seven years in state prison, requiring conduct creating a grave risk of death under circumstances evincing a depraved indifference to human life. A lesser charge, second-degree reckless endangerment under Penal Law § 120.20, is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to 364 days in jail for conduct creating a substantial risk of serious physical injury.
