Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for Russell Kane, a 69-year-old at-risk missing person who was last seen in Gardena. Kane was last spotted near S. Figueroa St. and W. Walnut St. in Los Angeles County.
The alert was shared Monday night, and the CHP - Alerts post tagged the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Kane is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. He had reportedly been missing since 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 20.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Silver Alert is activated when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at risk.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is involved in the search for Kane, per the same alert. Anyone who spots someone matching his description near the Gardena intersection is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately rather than approach him directly.
No additional identifying details, photograph, or vehicle information were included with the bulletin, and it remains unclear whether Kane has since been located.
