Kim Kardashian's shapewear empire could be setting up shop in Roseville. A building permit application filed for 1151 Galleria Blvd., Suite 128, suggests Skims could open its first Sacramento-area store inside Westfield Galleria at Roseville, though no opening date has surfaced yet.
The filing was first reported by whatnow.com, which notes the permit application points to the suite number inside the mall as the proposed location. Skims is the shapewear and clothing brand founded by Kim Kardashian, and the Culver City-based company now operates more than 100 stores worldwide, selling shapewear, undergarments and clothing for both women and men. If the Roseville location materializes, it would mark Skims' closest brick-and-mortar footprint to the capital region, since the brand's nearest existing store to the Sacramento area currently sits in the Bay Area.
A Galleria Betting on New Names
The potential Skims arrival comes as Westfield Galleria at Roseville works to reshape its retail mix. The mall has drawn a string of new tenants in 2026, part of a broader push to reposition the property with entertainment and lifestyle brands rather than relying solely on traditional apparel retail, according to the same report. A Skims storefront would add a major beauty-and-fashion name to the Galleria's tenant lineup and could draw shoppers from across the greater Sacramento area.
Separately, The Sacramento Bee has reported that the shopping center at 1151 Galleria Blvd. is undergoing a wave of tenant changes that include expansions, relocations and a variety of new offerings. Mall officials told the Bee that a handful of other new restaurants and retailers are coming to the Galleria over the next couple of years, and that an additional five retailers are slated to sign leases soon — though the mall has not yet shared details on who those tenants might be. The Galleria's recently renovated promenade has become the backdrop for much of this retail churn.
A Brand in Expansion Mode
A Brand in Expansion Mode Skims was founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian, Emma Grede and Jens Grede, and is now valued as a $5 billion company, according to Vogue. Modaes Global reported that Skims completed a $225 million funding round in the previous November.
This year alone has brought Skims a London store that debuted over the summer, per whatnow.com's report — the brand's first European flagship, according to Vogue, which places the 12,000-square-foot Regent Street location inside the former Ted Baker store.
Following a Coast-to-Coast Retail Push
Following a Coast-to-Coast Retail Push The possible Roseville store would follow a string of Skims openings across the country. The Los Angeles Times reported that Skims launched its flagship West Hollywood retail location on the Sunset Strip on April 1, marking its first standalone store in Southern California, with a storefront spanning 4,546 square feet. That opening followed the brand's New York City flagship debut on Fifth Avenue in 2024.
Skims has also been expanding in Texas and the Bay Area. Community Impact reported that the company opened a permanent storefront inside The Galleria mall in Houston in late September 2024, at 5085 Westheimer Road, Suite B2888.
