East-northeast sustained winds will run 15 to 20 mph, with gusts of 25 to 30 mph, and afternoon temperatures should remain in the upper 80s and near 90 degrees.
Brief visibility reductions were possible in heavy rain. Anyone heading toward Atlantic beaches should take a pass on the surf, as forecasters are warning of a high risk of life-threatening rip currents, rough surf and hazardous boating conditions through at least Thursday.
Weekend Storm Chances Climb
Thursday remains in a wet onshore pattern, with a high near 89 and showers continuing, including some storms mostly south of the I-4 corridor. Friday becomes wetter, with rain and storm coverage increasing before remaining above normal Saturday through Tuesday.
Repeated downpours later this week could create localized flooding in urban areas, especially where saturated ground and poor drainage team up. Highs should remain seasonable, around 89 to 90 degrees, while overnight lows hold in the low to mid-70s.

Monday has a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 90. Tuesday should be warmer and more humid, with storms possible late Tuesday night, keeping Central Florida in the same warm, wet rhythm.
