Partly sunny skies will dominate most of the day as breezy east to northeast winds affect the area, with gusts up to around 25 knots, approximately 29 mph. The National Weather Service Tampa Bay office says drier air will keep rain chances lower north of Interstate 4, while areas farther south could see more afternoon activity.
Wednesday night should turn partly cloudy, with a low near 74. Thursday looks similar, with a high of 90 degrees, northeast winds and little chance of rain.
Storm Chances Rise Into The Weekend
The forecast turns noticeably wetter starting Friday, when moisture and higher rain chances return. Rain chances and rain totals are expected to be higher during the weekend, with higher rain chances continuing into early next week.
The forecast shifts to a wetter setup later in the week. For outdoor plans, Wednesday and Thursday offer the better windows before the weekend settles into a more humid, storm-prone pattern.
Boaters Face Rougher Gulf Conditions
A Small Craft Advisory begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday for Tampa Bay and much of the nearby coastal waters, continuing into early Friday. Offshore winds could reach 20 to 25 knots, with rough seas and locally higher gusts near thunderstorms.
