Limited Rain Thursday
Thursday should bring limited rain, with generally VFR conditions. The chance of rain is 10% in Tampa; isolated showers or storms are more likely over inland and southwest parts of the region.
According to National Weather Service Tampa Bay, temperatures fall to around 71 Thursday night. Northeast winds will run 8 to 12 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph, so the evening should feel breezier than the recent sticky pattern.
Cooler, Drier Weekend Takes Shape
Friday brings a high near 86, followed by sunny Saturday and a mostly sunny Sunday with highs around 87. Overnight lows should dip to about 67 Friday night and Saturday night, a welcome change for anyone opening the windows and discovering Florida can, in fact, occasionally cooperate.
The update sharpens the drier outlook described in Wednesday’s Hoodline forecast: rain chances stay near zero from Friday through the weekend, then creep back early next week. Monday should remain mostly rain-free across the area, apart from a few stray showers or storms. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms return Tuesday and Wednesday.
Boaters Should Watch The Gulf
No land-based watches, warnings or advisories are listed for Tampa, but the front will make Gulf waters a rougher proposition. A Small Craft Advisory begins Thursday evening and runs through Friday afternoon for portions of the coastal waters, while northeast winds remain elevated before easing this weekend.
