Tonight will turn partly cloudy, with temperatures dipping to around 72 degrees and light west-southwest winds. Tuesday will remain mostly sunny through much of the day, although isolated showers and thunderstorms could develop after 2 p.m., bringing a 20% chance of rain.
The pattern becomes noticeably wetter Wednesday, when Tampa faces increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms. The National Weather Service Tampa Bay office says increasing moisture from the south will bring back more typical late-September heat and humidity.
Storm Chances Peak Thursday and Friday
Thursday and Friday bring increasing rain chances, with scattered to numerous storms possible by the end of the week. Highs are expected to be in the upper 80s and 90s later in the week, while easterly flow continues.
Saturday and Sunday will be sunny, with highs around 85 Saturday and 86 Sunday. A previous Hoodline forecast tracked the earlier cool spell; this update points to the return of wetter, more humid conditions, with no watches or warnings currently posted.
