A third 7 Brew coffee shop is on its way to York County, with plans to open a drive-thru location at Shrewsbury Commons shopping center just off Interstate 83 in southern York County by the end of 2026. Shrewsbury Township supervisors have approved the final land development plan for the project, and crews were already building the shop by September 26, 2026.
The news comes from a report by Cumberlink, citing The York Daily Record, which notes the new shop would mark the third 7 Brew location in York County. Once built, construction itself is expected to take about 90 days from groundbreaking, according to the same report.
What 7 Brew Is Bringing to Shrewsbury
The chain is known for its drive-thru-only format and a sprawling menu that includes coffee drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies, fizzy sodas and shakes. Per the report, the menu gives customers plenty of ways to customize their order on the fly.
Beyond the caffeine, the project is expected to bring an economic boost to the area. The Shrewsbury location is expected to create 75 new jobs.
Founded in Northwest Arkansas in 2017, 7 Brew had grown to seven stands by 2020. The company says it has since expanded to more than 700 locations across 38 states, with its menu spanning seven drink categories and more than 20,000 possible combinations. Its parent company, Brew Culture LLC, operates the brand through a franchise model with multi-unit franchisees, and Blackstone took a minority stake in the business in 2024. The company’s history and growth show how quickly the chain has scaled beyond its original market.
Two Existing York County Locations
Shrewsbury Commons would join two other 7 Brew shops already operating in York County. The chain opened a store on Carlisle Street in Penn Township, and it also has a shop on Cape Horn Road in York Township, giving the fast-growing coffee brand a growing footprint across the county.
The Shrewsbury project is part of a broader expansion in a crowded coffee market. The number of U.S. chain coffee shops rose 19% over six years to more than 34,500, while 66% of Americans said they drank coffee daily in 2024 and 2025. Drive-thru service is also increasingly central to the market: a National Coffee Association survey found that 59% of coffee drinkers who bought coffee away from home in the prior week had used a drive-thru. Those figures reflect the demand and competition facing chains such as 7 Brew.
With supervisors' approval of the final land development plan now in hand, crews were already building the Shrewsbury shop by September 26, 2026. For now, the target remains an opening by the end of 2026, positioning the drive-thru to serve I-83 commuters and local caffeine seekers alike.
