Third Eye Blind is ringing in 2027 on the Las Vegas Strip, headlining a New Year's Eve concert at Resorts World Las Vegas inside Zouk Nightclub. The multi-platinum alt-rock band is expected to play hits including “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper,” and “How's It Going to Be” as part of the show, with tickets going on sale September 18 at 10 a.m. Pacific.
According to FOX5 Vegas, Resorts World Las Vegas announced that the band will headline its New Year's Eve celebration, closing out the first year of the resort's Resorts World Live concert series. The station reports that an additional entertainment lineup for the series will be announced in 2027. Resorts World Las Vegas describes the band's live show as delivering, according to the resort, “a signature blend of alt-rock energy and emotional storytelling.”
The Resorts World Live series is a dedicated platform for live rock, country, Latin, and alternative performances at Zouk, according to BroadwayWorld. The concept adapts Zouk's layout by opening massive garage doors into AYU Dayclub's outdoor space, blending indoor and outdoor concert atmospheres for a single event.
A Nightclub Stage Instead of the Main Theatre
Rather than staging the concert in its main theatre, whose reported capacity varies by source, Resorts World is putting Third Eye Blind on the Zouk stage. Zouk Nightclub spans about 26,000 square feet with a standard capacity of 2,160 guests, and it's built with an LED tunnel entrance and a rotating ceiling, per Discotech. The venue originated as a nightlife institution in Singapore before expanding to the Las Vegas Strip in 2021.
Frontman Stephan Jenkins formed Third Eye Blind in San Francisco in 1993. The band's self-titled 1997 debut spent 106 weeks on the Billboard 200 and has been certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA, a run that produced the very songs the setlist is expected to lean on this New Year's Eve.
From Fremont Street to the Strip
This isn't Third Eye Blind's first Las Vegas New Year's Eve booking. The band previously headlined the 3rd Street Stage downtown at the Fremont Street Experience on December 31, 2023, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The 2023 downtown appearance is distinct from this year's ticketed booking inside a Strip resort nightclub.
The move makes Third Eye Blind one of this year's holiday headliners.
A Big Weekend for Vegas Tourism
The New Year's Eve celebration ringing in 2027 is known as “America's Party” and includes an eight-minute fireworks spectacle, per the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
The concert also arrives amid projections of 39 million to 40 million visitors for Las Vegas, compared with 41.7 million in 2024, according to Action Network.
Resorts World Las Vegas itself opened in 2021 at a cost of $4.3 billion, making it the most expensive integrated resort ever built in Las Vegas. Developed by Genting Berhad, the property includes more than 3,500 rooms across three Hilton hotel brands. The resort has recently booked other veteran rock acts for its stages, including America's Resorts World Theatre debut, scheduled for September 18.
