Comedian Tom Segura is heading back to Pittsburgh for two shows next spring, this time trading the cavernous PPG Paints Arena for the more intimate confines of the Event Center at Rivers Casino. The performances are set for Thursday, May 20, and Friday, May 21, 2027, marking two stops on the newly announced tour dubbed “Tom Segura: Preposterous.”
According to WPXI, the Pittsburgh dates are part of the first wave of cities announced for the tour, and presale tickets go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time using the code TOMMY, with general public sales following on Friday, October 2. The “Preposterous” tour marks his follow-up to the 2024–2025 “Come Together” global comedy tour, launching in early 2027 with an initial 30-city leg across North America, per BroadwayWorld.
A Return Trip, With a Smaller Room
This isn't Segura's first time drawing crowds in the Steel City. He previously performed at PPG Paints Arena during his “Come Together” tour on May 2, 2024, and before that headlined two sold-out shows at Rivers Casino's Event Center in August 2022 as part of his “I'm Coming Everywhere” tour, according to Exclaim!. The upcoming May 2027 stand marks a return to that same casino venue after filling a much bigger arena in between.
The Event Center itself is built for scale flexibility rather than arena-sized crowds. It offers 25,000 square feet of ballroom space that can be configured to hold anywhere from 2,000 to 2,800 guests depending on the stage and seating setup, per the same account. For those traveling in for the two-night run, the casino complex also connects directly to the Landing Hotel Pittsburgh, a seven-story, 219-room property that opened in late 2022 following a $60 million development project, according to CBS Pittsburgh. The hotel's proximity gives out-of-town fans an easy option to stay on-site for the weekend rather than book elsewhere in the city.

Segura's ability to sell out venues quickly stems from more than just his stand-up specials.
