According to WFMZ.com, the two injured people were transported to a hospital following the crash, which occurred on northbound Route 309 in Montgomeryville. The outlet reported that the injuries were confirmed per Montgomery County Communications, though the current conditions of the two victims have not been made available. It's also not yet clear what led up to the collision.
The stretch of Bethlehem Pike outside the dealership sits within one of Montgomery Township's busiest commercial corridors, where traffic counts on the nearby corridor range from about 15,000 to 55,000-plus vehicles a day, according to traffic data cited by Montgomeryville Commercial Media. That volume, funneled past car lots, shopping centers, and frequent turning movements, has long made the road a focal point for local crash concerns.

This isn't the first time this exact stretch of Bethlehem Pike has ground to a halt. In March 2025, the Montgomery Township Police Department shut down Route 309 in both directions between Stump Road and Upper State Road following a separate vehicle accident, according to a Montgomery Township Police Department bulletin. The prior closure was reported between Stump Road and Upper State Road.
When crashes do happen along this section, help isn't far away. The Fire Department of Montgomery Township operates its Battalion 1 station directly at the corner of Stump Road and Bethlehem Pike, placing rescue crews adjacent to the corridor, per the department's own account of its operations. On the enforcement side, Montgomery Township Police maintain a specialized Highway Safety Unit, according to township records.
Just Down The Road, A Freshly Finished Fix
The crash also lands just months after PennDOT wrapped up a major roadwork push nearby. In August, the agency announced that construction on the $14.6 million Five Points Intersection Improvement Project — where Route 309 meets Route 463 and Business U.S. 202 in Montgomery Township — had been completed, expanding approach lanes from 15 to 18 in an effort to improve traffic flow and reduce crashes, according to a PennDOT. That sprawling intersection just south of Saturday's crash site was part of the completed project.

For now, all lanes on the Montgomeryville stretch have reopened, and the cause of Saturday's crash remains under investigation.
