A former Venice Beach residence is becoming a gaming showcase this week, as Logitech turns the oceanfront compound into a public showcase of its newest gear. The event, called Logi PLAY 2026, opens to the public at noon on Wednesday, September 23, and will let local gamers get hands-on with more than 15 new Logitech G products before they hit shelves.

The Los Angeles stop is one leg of a three-city celebration that kicks off with an esports tournament in Warsaw on Tuesday, September 22, before simultaneous events unfold in Shanghai and Venice Beach the following day, according to StockTitan. As KTLA reports, the Los Angeles event will feature gaming tournaments and live keynotes, with the show also available to watch virtually for those who cannot make it to the beach.

A Historic Venice Compound Becomes a Gaming Playground

The venue itself carries its own local story. According to the Piovra Group, the 20,000-square-foot property at 57 Windward sits steps from the Venice sign and skate park and underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation to serve as a venue for experiential pop-ups, complete with a private courtyard and multi-level studio spaces. It's a fittingly artsy backdrop for a brand that, per KTLA, wants gear to feel like a natural extension of the people using it.

Logitech G general manager Gabriel Whyel told the station that the company's mission is to extend the potential of work and play, adding that gaming gear can become an extension of the player's body. Gina Darling, who has worked with Logitech to help evolve its products, said the company used a motion-capture system on her hands to study how she interacts with a gaming mouse. Darling told KTLA that gamers enjoy curating their spaces, creating aesthetics, and expressing themselves — and that having the right gear is ultimately about having fun.

New Gear Spans Budget Setups to Pro-Level Rigs

The lineup on display spans Logitech's full product hierarchy. The entry-level G3 Series, described by KTLA as a lightweight mouse, keyboard, and headset line, sits at the accessible end. Ahead of the preview, Logitech expanded that series in June with the $79.99 G305 X SUPERLIGHT wireless mouse and the $119.99 G316 X mechanical keyboard, according to the same account cited by Expert Market Research.

One step up, the G5 Series offers more technology and customization, per KTLA's reporting. At the top of the showcase is the new G512 X keyboard, which the outlet describes as Logitech's first dual-swap design that functions as both mechanical and analog hardware. SM Lahti of Logitech G told KTLA it marks a notable first for the company.

A Mouse Pad That Charges While You Play

Also on display is a mouse pad that keeps a compatible mouse charged while it's actively being used, a detail Lahti confirmed to KTLA.

Sim racers get their own spotlight in Venice Beach, with a modular racing system that's part of Logitech's racing series. Javier Caro told KTLA the sim-racing components are modular, allowing racers to customize their setups. The system uses Logitech's TrueForce technology, which sends feedback from a game directly to the steering wheel, enabling players to feel virtual road conditions as they drive, per the same KTLA report. Attendees on Wednesday will be able to try a McLaren Racing simulator in person, and the first 250 people through the door will receive a special giveaway.

Big Business Behind the Booths

The showcase isn't just a local curiosity — it's backed by real financial muscle. Logitech G generated $1.414 billion in gaming segment revenue in fiscal year 2026, a 6% year-over-year increase, according to data compiled for the PC Gaming Accessories Market report. That momentum tracks with the broader industry: the PC gaming accessories market is projected to grow at a 9.5% compound annual growth rate from 2026 through 2035, per Expert Market Research.

Software partnerships are part of that growth strategy, too. In June, Logitech G became the Official PC Peripheral Partner for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, according to a separate industry analysis.

Sensor Tech Draws Scrutiny Alongside the Hype

Not all the attention on Logitech's sensor technology has been celebratory. University of California, Irvine researchers reported last October that high-frequency optical sensors used in gaming mice could potentially be exploited via AI to convert desk vibrations into intelligible audio, as Hoodline previously reported.

None of that research is expected to dampen turnout in Venice Beach, where Wednesday's free, public event promises hands-on time with Logitech's newest hardware alongside live tournaments and keynote talks. For anyone who can't make it to 57 Windward in person, the full Logi PLAY 2026 program will also be streamed virtually.
