Similar cases are not a trend
Other Wisconsin cases illustrate that vehicle-strike allegations can arise from different disputes and produce different procedural outcomes. In a separate Milwaukee incident near 35th and Villard on April 29, police said a 30-year-old man intentionally struck a 39-year-old man with a vehicle during a dispute and fled; the suspect was arrested, and charges were to be referred to prosecutors, according to FOX6 News Milwaukee.
A separate La Crosse case involved a substantially different allegation: Lori Ann Phillips was charged in a hit-and-run resulting in death, and a jury found her not guilty in November 2023, Court TV reported. The Milwaukee and La Crosse cases are examples for comparison, not evidence that incidents like Ross's are becoming more common.
For the Waukesha case, the central questions—including what happened during the parking dispute, the extent of the man's injuries and whether Ross's conduct meets the charged offense—will be addressed through the court process.
