Thomas Eugene Munn, 36, remains in the Franklin County Jail after failing to post $15,000 bail, according to the case listing in Magisterial District Court 39-3-02. He faces charges of robbery, criminal trespassing, terroristic threats and harassment in docket No. MJ-39302-CR-0000389-2026.
The Waynesboro Police Department’s daily blotter identifies a Sept. 7 incident in the 200 block of Elder Avenue. The entry provides the date and location but little additional detail, according to the department’s CRIMEWATCH log.
Tri-State Alert, citing police incident and court information, reported that the allegations followed an earlier dispute between Munn and the victim. Police said Munn later went to the victim’s apartment, entered by force and attempted to choke the victim while threatening to kill him. Authorities also alleged that Munn took the victim’s cellphone and was carrying it when officers located him. Tri-State Alert reported that Munn denied knowing what had happened.
The charges remain allegations, and the case has not been resolved at trial. A preliminary hearing would require the Commonwealth to show a prima facie case before the matter could move to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, according to Franklin County’s explanation of the process.
