Timeline and case status
Dustin Eubanks was last seen in Spartanburg County’s Fairmont community on June 19, 2022, according to WSPA 7News. The station reported that Eubanks, who was 38 at the time, had been taken to a location known as The Ranch or The Tan Yard to collect money. The Charley Project lists him as missing since June 20, 2022, and says he was living on North Pacolet Road in the Landrum area. His family reported him missing on July 6, according to The Charley Project.
What investigators have said
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office believes Eubanks is dead and that foul play occurred, WSPA reported. Investigators have also identified a person of interest, but the case has not been solved because people believed to have relevant information have not cooperated, according to the station.
The Charley Project records Eubanks as having a seizure disorder requiring medication. It describes him as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, a mustache and a goatee.
Family appeal
WSPA reported that Eubanks’ mother, Tina Lindsey, has said she does not know what happened to her son and that his three children have spent years grieving. The station also reported that Sgt. Megan Bennett is asking anyone with information to contact her at [email protected].
September is National Cold Case Month. WSPA reported that the sheriff’s office is using the month to highlight unsolved cases and seek new information, including leads in Eubanks’ disappearance.
