A 19-year-old man is expected to recover after being stabbed multiple times Monday morning at an apartment complex in White Lake Township, and the 26-year-old suspect accused of attacking him remains on the run. Police say the stabbing broke out after an argument between friends and family as tenants were in the process of moving out of the complex.
The stabbing was reported around 9 a.m. Monday at 4 Corner Lakeside Apartments near 8020 Wadi Boulevard, according to ClickOnDetroit. Police say a 26-year-old Redford Township man stabbed the 19-year-old White Lake Township man multiple times before running from the scene ahead of officers' arrival. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and is expected to recover, per the same report.
Investigators have not released the specific trigger behind the dispute, and it remains unclear whether the fight erupted over logistics of the move itself or something unrelated among the group of friends and family present. The search for the suspect was still active as of Monday afternoon, with the investigation described as ongoing.

In January, officers responded to a separate stabbing in the 1700 block of Mead Lane, where a 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder after stabbing his wife during a domestic dispute, according to CBS News. That earlier case escalated from an argument and was reported to police by the couple's young child, the outlet reported.
