A 29-year-old Winter Garden man was seriously injured early Thursday morning after an unknown vehicle struck him while he rode north in the bicycle lane on Tuskawilla Road in Winter Springs, and the driver kept going without stopping. The crash happened around 5:50 a.m. on Sept. 17, just south of Windwillow Circle, leaving investigators with a badly hurt victim and no idea who was behind the wheel.
According to WFTV, the bicyclist was traveling north in the bike lane when a vehicle in the outside northbound lane struck him. Troopers said the driver fled the scene after the crash, leaving the injured man on the roadway. He was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, and no update on his condition has been made public.
