A shooting inside a laundromat at 760 Astor Ave. in Allerton left a 37-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy wounded Monday evening. Police said no arrests had been made.
Officers were sent to the address at 7:15 p.m. after a report of a shooting, ABC7 New York reported. They found both victims with gunshot wounds to the right leg, the outlet said.
Victims Rushed to Jacobi Hospital
Police administered aid while awaiting EMS, ABC7 New York reported. Paramedics took both victims to Jacobi Hospital, where they were expected to recover, the outlet said, according to ABC7 New York.
The circumstances of the shooting have not been made public. Police have not described how the gunfire began or what led up to it.
Investigation Remains Open
No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting as of ABC7 New York’s report, and the investigation was ongoing, the outlet reported. Police had not released a description of anyone suspected in the case.

The NYPD says the 49th Precinct serves Allerton. Its CompStat report covering Sept. 14–20, 2026, lists seven shooting incidents year to date in 2026, the same number recorded at that point in 2025.
